fitstopnm

• Convert a FITS file to a PNM image:

fitstopnm path/to/file.fits > path/to/output.pnm

• Convert the image on the specified position of the third axis in the FITS file:

fitstopnm -image z_position path/to/file.fits > path/to/output.pnm
